COMPARISION OF ADJECTIVE – SO SÁNH TÍNH TỪ

1.so sánh bằng

Ex:she is as all as me/I’m

She is as beautiful as her sister

-so sánh ngang bằng tính từ 1 âm tiết vànhiều âm tiết dùng như nhau.

Notes:có 1 số tính từ 2 âm tiết nhưng vẫn được gọi là tính từ ngắn

Ex: happy >>happier

2.so sánh không ngang bằng phủ định

S+tobe+not so +tính từ + as+...

Ex:lesson one is not to so difficult as lessonten (bài học 1 ko khó như  bài học 10)

Jack does not so many mistake as Fred ( Jack ko phạm nhiều lỗi như Fred)

Not so good as: ko tốt bằng

Not so comfortable as: ko tiện nghi bằng

So is/so are : cũng vậy

Ex:

This( those) pencil is blue, so is(so are) my pencil ( những cái bút chì này màu xanh /những cái bút chì của tôi cũng vậy)

3.so sánh hơn

3.1 tính từ ngắn

S+ tobe+ adj(ngắn)+er +than+...

Ex: she is taller than me/I’m

3.2 Tính từ  dài

S + tobe +more+ adj ( dài) + than + ...

EX: she is more beautiful than her sister

4.So sánh cao nhất

4.1 Tính từ ngắn

S + tobe + the + adj (ngắn) + est + ...

Ex: In my family, my father is the taller

4.2 Tính Từ dài
S + tobe + the most + adj (dài)+...

Ex: She is the most beautiful girl in my class

This lesson is the most difficult of all

Hien is the most intelligent in the class

TÍNH TỪ BẤT QUY TẮC

1. Good : tốt > better > the best
2. Bad:tồi tệ >worse > the worst
3. Far:xa > farther/further > the farthest/ the furthest
4. Much/many > more than > the most
5. Little:1 ít > less than >the least
6. Few:1 ít > fewes > the fewest

DOUBLE COMPARATIVE – SO SÁNH KÉP

1. So sánh lũy tiến( ngày càng)

S + V + dạng so sánh hơn + and + dạng so sánh hơn

V: vừa là động từ thường , vừa là ‘ tobe”

Ex:

These day,prices are (higher and higher getting higher and higher )

-you look fatter and fatter( bạn nhìn ngày càng to ra)

-you look more and more beautiful

Note :tính từ dài ko phải viết lại : more and more +tính từ

Ngày càng kém: less and less + tính từ

Ex: she is less and less attentive in class ( cô ấy càng ngày càng kém chú ý ở trong lớp )

Attentive: cham chú, chú ý

1. Càng... càng

the  + so sánh hơn + S + V, the + so sánh hơn + S + động từ

Ex: the more we learn, the more we forget(càng học càng quên)
